Hugs Not Slugs is a non-profit organization founded by Anwan “Big G” Glover, an actor and musician from Washington D. C. Hugs Not Slugs aims to combat gun violence by promoting positive interactions and de-escalation practices within the community. Glover believes that fostering connections through hugs and conversation can create a safer environment and promote healthy behaviors for everyone. The organization aims to spread love and support through the Hugs Not Slugs initiatives. Focusing on changing the culture of violence into one that values understanding and kindness towards others.
